Troop meetings are Tuesday nights from 7:00-8:30 PM at The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Oak Hill, Virginia. Campouts are held monthly -- typically the third weekend of the month. Please browse our website to learn more about us.
Troop 1257 has once again qualified as a Journey To Excellence Gold Unit Award for the 2012 program year which is awarded in 2013. This is BSA's highest level of performance recognition. The state of our Troop is outstanding, and the 2013 program year is shaping up to be another banner year for us!
On 5 March 2013 three members of the Committee, and one District Eagle Representative, conducted an Eagle Scout Board of Review and unanimously voted William Fontaine the newest Eagle Scout with Troop 1257! In the coming months there will be an Eagle Scout Court of Honor scheduled to officially recognize and celebrate Will's accomplishment.
Troop 1257 follows the Fairfax County Public Schools in determining the cancellation of a weekly Troop meeting. If the FCPS are closed, or close early, or cancel evening activites, then the Troop meeting is cancelled. Cancellation of a weekend activity will be determined by the Scoutmaster in charge of that activity.
