Welcome to Troop 1257
Established in 1999, Troop 1257 is a dynamic boy lead Troop, mentored by enthusiastic adults with the guiding principles of scouting - A scout is Trustworthy, Loyal , Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent. Troop meetings are Tuesday nights from 7:00-8:30 PM at The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Oak Hill, Virginia. Campouts are held monthly -- typically the third weekend of the month. Family Holiday Dinner and Court of Honor
Troop 1257 will host a Family Holiday Dinner Tuesday, Dec. 16th from 6:30-7:30 pm. click here for the e-vite and for details. The Court of Honor will follow the dinner from 7:30-8:30pm.

Webelos - Open House Calendar
Troop 1257 will be hosting a number of opportunities for Senior Webelos and their parents to visit. These include regular troop meetings on Tuesday 26 October and Tuesday 6 January. Our troop meetings start at 7:00 PM on Tuesdays and end at 8:30. Additionally, interested Webelos are invited to join the troop on the Novemeber Camput at Pohck Bay Campground or the January outing (16-18th) at at Blackburn cabin in Round hill VA on the Appalachian trail.

Troop 1257 has once again qualified as a Journey To Excellence Gold Unit Award for the 2013 program year which is awarded in 2014. This is BSA's highest level of performance recognition. The state of our Troop is outstanding, and the 2014 program year is shaping up to be another banner year for us!
Troop 1257 follows the Fairfax County Public Schools in determining the cancellation of a weekly Troop meeting. If the FCPS are closed, or close early, or cancel evening activites, then the Troop meeting is cancelled. Cancellation of a weekend activity will be determined by the Scoutmaster in charge of that activity.
