Welcome to Troop 1257

Established in 1999, Troop 1257 is a dynamic boy lead Troop, mentored by enthusiastic adults with the guiding principles of scouting - A scout is Trustworthy, Loyal , Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent. Troop meetings are Tuesday nights from 7:00-8:30 PM at The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Oak Hill, Virginia. Campouts are held monthly -- typically the third weekend of the month. The sign up link for Bayport is now active, sign up here now. Bayport summer camp will be the week of July 19th. The cost this year is $320. Bayport offers traditional summer camp with merit badges and lots of high adventure options too! Visit here for details on Bayport and here for the High Adventure options. Troop Yard Sale

Troop 1257 is hosting its Annual Yard sale in conjunction with the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, on Saturday, May 30th, from 8am til noon. The church address is 3301 Hidden Meadow Drive, at the intersection of Fairfax County Parkway and Franklin Farm Road. Come find some treasures at bargain prices, and enjoy this great community outreach event!

Donations of items to be sold at the yard sale are being accepted at the following times: Tuesday, May 5th from 7-8:30pm, Tuesday, May 12th from 7-8:30 pm, Tuesday, May 19th from 7-8:30pm and Friday, May 29th from 4-7pm.. A tax deductible donation receipt will be provided on request. Please note we cannot accept old TV's.

Troop 1257 qualified as a Journey To Excellence Gold Unit Award for the 2014 program year which is awarded in 2015 during the Troop's recharter with BSA. This is BSA's highest level of performance recognition. The state of our Troop is outstanding, and the 2015 program year is another banner year for us!

Inclement Weather

Troop 1257 follows the Fairfax County Public Schools in determining the cancellation of a weekly Troop meeting. If the FCPS are closed, or close early, or cancel evening activites, then the Troop meeting is cancelled. Cancellation of a weekend activity will be determined by the Scoutmaster in charge of that activity.
